The Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders and the Atlanta Falcons Junior Cheerleaders recently teamed up with the Rally Foundation, a local non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness and funds specifically for childhood cancer research.
The Atlanta Falcons Junior Cheerleaders helped support the Rally 4 Quarters 4 Research, which is a change collection program in which all the proceeds directly benefit childhood cancer research. The ladies collected nearly $900 that will go directly to help childhood cancer research!

The 2009 Junior Cheerleader Program is designed for girls ages 5-16. Participants received many great prizes including: one game performance during halftime of the November 8 Atlanta Falcons home game against the Washington Redskins, three rehearsals taught by the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders and a game and practice uniform set complete with pom poms.

On Tuesday, September 15 Atlanta Falcons players and cheerleaders kicked off the Falcons First Down for Fitness program with a visit to Hambrick Elementary School in Dekalb County. Michael Jenkins, Verron Haynes, Jamaal Anderson, Trey Lewis and Tony Gilbert along with five cheerleaders participated in the visit. Michael Jenkins, the spokesman for the program, discussed the importance of eating healthy and frequent exercise.
The fifth grade class enjoyed a mini field day which included a relay race, rescue relay, tug-of-war, dizzy izzy race and sack race. The class of approximately 100 students was separated into four teams with players serving as head coach. The teams coached by Michael Jenkins and Tony Gilbert came in a tie for first place and won Falcons First Down for Fitness tshirts. Furthermore, the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders taught dance routines to interested students.

On Thursday, August 6 the 2009 Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders were presented to the public during a Meet and Greet at Tongue and Groove in Lindbergh City Center. Falcons fans had the chance to meet these lovely ladies and view a one-of-a-kind fashion show featuring the styles of Betsey Johnson and Rene Rene. Members of the squad also performed and raffled off great prizes from Jamison Shaw Hairdressers, Sephora Town Center, Airtran Airways, Jason’s Deli and Gotta Dance Atlanta. The event was hosted and spearheaded by Cheerleader Jenny and Bell Moda Productions put on the show.
Proceeds from the event benefited The Rally Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises awareness and funds specifically for childhood cancer research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancers.
